Flautist
Remko van der Vegt studied flute under Rien de Reede and took lessons from Thies Roorda, Trevor Wye and Geoffrey Gilbert during and after his studies.
He played the flute with the Ensemble Châtelet, The Gelders Blazersensemble, The Netherlands Bach Ensemble, Amsterdam Mozart Players and was a substitute with the Gelders Orkest for many years.
Over the years Remko developed the desire to perform eighteenth century music using historical instruments. He studied traverso under Wilbert Hazelzet and played with the baroque ensemble Le Zéphyre and the Rijnconsort.
Currently, he is a member of baroque orchestra ´La Sorpresa´.
