Traverso

Traverso

In the Nineties, inspired by the eighteenth century flautists who generally made their own instruments, I started replicating headjoints for traverso in order to obtain a clear, distinctive and reverberating sound to my ideal.

Since then, I engrossed in building replicas of Rottenburg, Grenser, Quantz and Palanca in boxwood, grenadilla, ebony, palmwood and snakewood.

Several flautists, like Wilbert Hazelzet, are currently using these headjoints.

Since 2010 I’ve been making replica flutes of Palanca. As for myself, I play a snakewood flute with rings in ivory.

A complete Palanca flute costs € 1600,00 excl. taxes. Students pay € 1600,00 all in. Payment in terms is possible.
